What is Red Lipo Light?

Red Lipo Light is a light emitting diode (LED) system specifically designed to contour the body by losing inches in circumference off specific areas (waist, belly, hips, thighs, back, buttock, arms, neck) without any pain, downtime, needles or surgery. Lipo Light is composed of an LED array that exposes the fatty areas that are resistant to diet and exercise and releases the fat from the fat cells in those areas. Specific frequencies of red light stimulate fat cells to release their fat into the body. Fat is processed, naturally, through the lymphatic system and eliminated through the liver and kidneys.

How quickly does Red Light work and what results can I expect?

Results can be seen immediately. Clients lose on average, 3.5 inches of total body fat in one session.                                                                        * Based on clinical studies.  Individual results vary. There is no guarantee of fat loss for any specific individual.

How long is a Light treatment and what does it feel like?

Clients can expect to feel a gentle, warm sensation. Sessions are typically 60 minutes, no more than 1-2 times per week.

How can I optimize my Light Treatment results?

Hydration is critical. Drink plenty of water (ideally at least 8 glasses of 8 ounces of water) spread out throughout the day to flush the fat from the system. Diuretics (coffee, alcohol, etc.) are discouraged. The client should also be active. A form of cardio exercise, such as walking 30 minutes a day is recommended. Doing so, helps burn excess fat and assists the body in eliminating liberated fat

What areas of the body can I treat?

Essentially all parts of the body where subcutaneous deposits of fat can be found may be treated with Red Light, especially those resistant to diet and exercise.

How is LED Lipo Light different than liposuction?

Liposuction is an invasive procedure involving the mechanical removal of fat cells. If the client regains fat, it can form unsightly deposits due to the uneven destruction of fat cells. By contrast, Red Light is completely non-invasive and only affects fat cells temporarily. If the client regains fat, it will still look natural and can be retreated with no ill effects

Does Red Lipo Light help with loose skin?

Evidence suggests that clients undergoing Red Light have noticed an improvement in skin tone and texture. Collagen and Elastin within the skin are stimulated, therefore tightening lines, wrinkles and skin.

Does Red Light improve the appearance of cellulite?

Evidence suggests that clients undergoing Light treatments have noticed a significant improvement in the appearance of cellulite.

What are the side effects?

There are zero side effects. Normal activity can be resumed immediately. Unlike cold contour, liposuction or laser treatments, there is no bruising, swelling, scarring, pain, discoloration, burns, uneven fat deposits, tissue death or downtime.

Are there any contraindications?

If you are in good general health you should be able to undergo this treatment. Contraindications include: if you have had cancer in the last 2 years, have any kidney or liver problems such as hepatitis or poor functioning kidneys, problems with your lymphatic system such as lymphedema, are pregnant, are trying to get pregnant, breast feeding, are taking certain drugs that make you sensitive to light, or are sensitive to normal sunlight. Additionally, if you have severe anxiety disorder, are claustrophobic or cannot tolerate a soft eye mask, this treatment is not recommended. If you have any other conditions and are unsure, check with your primary physician before making an appointment. Red light does not contain UV light and does not have the side effects associated with UV exposure, as seen in tanning beds. If you have any questions about whether Red light would be right for you, please call us before you schedule an appointment. There is a small $25 non-refundable deposit required to schedule and hold an appointment. It will be deducted from the fee for your introductory session when you come in for your appointment.

Would more treatments lead to better results?

Yes, additional treatments will lead to improved results. An additional series of Light treatments can begin immediately after the first series.

How long will results last?

Red Lipo Light does not destroy fat cells but empties them of their content. This means that fat cells are capable of re-storing fat, should the client have a chronic caloric imbalance. A balanced diet is the only way to ensure long-term improvement. Remember, even with liposuction, or any other method, fat can return. The good news is you can be retreated to remove this fat with no ill effects.

How many treatments will I need?

There are several factors involved. These include the amount of weight and fat inches you want to lose, your general health and condition i.e. menopausal, your lifestyle and exercise habits. Six to ten sessions are the most common programs. Those with more fat, cellulite, or needing to lose more than 20lbs, may need additional sessions and may need to add a complete metabolic weight reduction program. Problem areas like the belly and upper arms may need additional targeted sessions.

Why don’t we list prices? When you come in for your evaluation and introductory session, we will see how you respond. Then we can sit down with you, discuss your goals and health circumstances. We can then come up with a program that best meets your needs. At that point, we can discuss number of visits, pricing, discounts, financing, etc. Prices can vary greatly according to discounts, financing, number of visits, the program, etc. We do not “sell by the visit” like a tanning spa.

Why should clients avoid alcohol during the Red Light process?

There are three main reasons why alcohol should be avoided with Red Light:

1. Alcohol is a diuretic and it is critical that the body stays optimally hydrated throughout the treatment program.

2. Alcohol also contains a lot of calories: a 5-ounce glass of red wine packs 100 calories! This directly conflicts with the recommendations of the program which calls for a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

3. Third and most importantly, alcohol is processed by the liver which directly restricts the body’s ability to process the newly liberated fat. Once liberated by Red Light, the fat that is not used up as energy, to fuel the body’s normal metabolic needs, is processed by the liver using enzymes. The total amount of fat being processed at any given time, is limited by the amount of enzymes produced by the liver. Alcohol is processed by the liver using the same enzymes. So, when the liver is busy processing alcohol, it is not able to process the fat liberated by the red light. Hence more time and treatments may be required to achieve results.
